Practice

Gadke Architects is an architectural practice located in Salisbury, Brisbane. Since its establishment in 2004, the practice has worked on numerous projects of varying size and complexity.  The main focus of our work is residential architecture, including new builds, renovations and alterations. We have also undertaken numerous bespoke interior and commercial projects and our design team have experience in commercial and multi-residential work. Whilst the majority of our work has been in South-East Queensland, several projects have been carried out in New South Wales.

The practice offers a high quality personalised service aimed at making the building process successful in both economic and emotional outcomes. We are responsive to all client requirements and work in close communication with the clients throughout the project, with a team-based approach to the process. We have a special interest in built environments that minimizes impact on the environment and maximise sustainability.

Gadke Architects was formally Chris Gadke Architects Pty Ltd.

Chris Gadke, Director

Chris was born in Canada in 1970 and was brought up in varied rural settings in North America and Australia. On completion of secondary schooling Chris attended the University of Queensland and completed his architecture degree with honours.

Prior to the formulation of this practice, Chris was a project architect for Jeremy Salmon Architect, and has worked for Bligh Voller Nield in Brisbane.

The practice has had a variety of employees over the years that have been highly experienced and motivated as a team, collaborating in a studio design environment. We have forged strong working relationships with many builders, engineers, landscape designers and other consultants.

Outside the practice Chris regularly contributes to the continuation of architectural education both formally and informally.
